Michael E. Bluett


Michael Edward Bluett, 47, of Olivehurst died Jan. 15, 2004, at his residence.

Born in Marysville, he was a lifetime Yuba-Sutter resident. He was a 1974 graduate of Marysville High. He attended Yuba College.
He was a printer at Bluett Printing Co. in Marysville for 20 years and also worked for the California Department of Forestry in Smartsville for four years and Boeing Aircraft Co. in Seattle, Wash.

He served in the Air Force.

He was a 23-year member and Honorary Humbug of the Frank C. Reilly Chapter 5978, E. Clampus Vitus of LaPorte. He also was a volunteer for the Olivehurst Fire Department.

Survivors two sons, Michael B. Bluett and Scot K. Bluett, both of Olivehurst; his parents, Mike and Pat Bluett of Olivehurst; a brother, Will Bluett of Olivehurst; three sisters, Jo Bowman and Rosemary Bluett, both of Marysville, and Janice Bluett of Sacramento; and his grandmother, Joie Bluett of Marysville.



Donations may be made to the William E. Bluett Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1039 Ramirez St., Marysville, CA 95901 or the Sutter North Hospice, 826 Fourth St., Marysville, CA 95901.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel of the Twin Cities. Chaplain Norman Highley of the Olivehurst F.D. and officers and members of the Frank C. Reilly Chapter 5978, ECV of LaPorte will be officiating.

 

 

Gilmore "Bob" Stewart

Gilmore "Bob" Stewart, 68, of Challenge died Nov. 3, 2003, at Rideout Memorial Hospital.

Born in Yuba City, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for five years.

He was a sheet metal worker in the Bay Area and owner of a drapery business in Challenge.

He was a member of the Frank C. Reilly Chapter, E Clampus Vitus.

Survivors include his companion, Katherine George of Challenge; a son, Rob Stewart of Novato; two daughters, Belinda Brothers and Vickie Codoni, both of Rohnert Park; and four grandchildren.

Services: A memorial celebration is scheduled at noon Saturday at the Rainbow Inn, 9862 LaPorte Road, Challenge. Arrangements are under the direction of Holycross Memorial Services.

 

Janet M. Miles

Janet Marie Miles, 75, of Yuba City died Feb. 10, 2003, at TLC Estates

in Yuba City.

Born in Dunsmuir, she was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 57 years. She

was a partner in her husband's accounting practice and insurance business.

She was active in local youth and fraternal organizations and received

the 1995 Lotta Crabtree Award from the Frank C. Reilly chapter of E

Clampus Vitus.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Fred Miles of Yuba City;

two daughters, Marilyn Frerichs of Yuba City and Nancy Nelson of Lafayette;

a son, Don Miles of San Rafael; her mother, Florence K. Johnstone of

Northridge; a sister, Phoebe Pfeiffer of Northridge; seven grandchildren;

and one great-granddaughter.

Services: Private family services have been held. Arrangements
